Cuttin' Up - Book It

With the kids going back to school. I thought I'd show you what can be done to composition books to make them fun! I started out by covering the book with paper from then I used my big punch and put holes in the front and the back of the book. I used the Disney Happily Ever After cartridge and cut out Snow White at 4 3/4". This was a lot of fun putting together. I also used Plantin SchoolBook cartridge for the letters. To finish it off you can add gramets to the holes.  Then thread the grossgrain ribbon in and out of the holes to hold the pen and tie it shut!  HUGS!

Cuttin' Up! - Acrylic

I wanted to make a little purse to hold chocolates with the acetate.  I wasn't quite sure if it would work, as I have never cut acetate with the Cricut before.  All I can say is WOW!  I loved it! I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge and set the size to 4 3/4".  I had the cutting blade set at 6 and used the muti-cut option to have it go over it twice.  It was wonderful.  The purse popped right out with no problems.  This handy dandy little cartridge is on the retired list, so be sure to grab one while you can!!! It's one of my favorites :) I then ran the flap of the purse though the Cuttlebug with the Daisy Flower folder.  To highlight the little flowers I used Painters markers by Elmer's, then added little plastic beads for the handle and a paper flower to top it off.  Add the yummy chocolates morsels and we are off for girls' night out!

Be Inspired #96

This weeks challenge was to create with Acetate. I used a clear sheet and made my little Baby welcome card. The inside is cuttlebuged with swiss dots on the debossing side and then used the baby carriage  from the stamp collection. Added a few stickers. What cute card it made.
