Honeybee Showcase - Freezer Paper Stencil

Wow!!!  I can't tell you how much fun this was!  When Ms. Betty was telling me about this project I got so excited.  We were talking about projects we had painted in the past.  Some 20 years ago I made quilts for my kids with acrylic paint and textile medium.. The pictures are still there.. The quilts are a little ragged though...  Ms. Betty mentioned how she made towels for her kids. (lights went on in my head)  This was fabulous.. My kids are always taking the wrong towels out to go swimming and now they will have their own!!!!  Not only that I decided I needed to make them for my grand kids too!  So when they come over next week we'll do theirs.. I cut out the names using MTC and a font I had installed in my computer.  I used Delta acrylic paint and textile medium.. The kids had a great time getting their hands all gooey. After the towel are really dry, iron the back of them to set the paint.  Then I wash them in white vinegar to make sure the paint is really set..

New Product Saturday -Cupcake Wrappers

Oh how wonderful Spring is finally here!!! To celebrate it I made some wonderful Cupcake Wrappers with the New Cupcake Wrapper Cut file & PDF .  I was just a buzzed about the New Busy Bees Digital paper pack , and of course I had to use all of the Larry the Bee poses.  I placed them inside of the Scalloped Background . All of which are made by Digital Delights By Louby Lou!  I wanted to show you how easy it is to use both the Black & White Digi's as well as the pre-colored Digi's  I printed this out twice so I could have two of everything.  I colored the Black & White ones with my Bic & Copic Markers.  Then I added Stickles to Larry's wings.  Cut out two of the same design  On the back make sure which way the Digi is so the top will be at the top. Tape a skewer stick to back.  Making sure it it secured tight.  Then add double sided tape all around the edges.  Stick the back circle onto the front along the edges.  It will slightly bow because of the skewer

Celebrating Babies

This week on Betty Bee's Buzz we are celebrating Babies.. Here is the card I made. For my baby project I wanted to make a onesie "Joy Fold" card.  The onesie is all one piece and folded to create the card.  I then paper pieced the edgeing for the sleeves, collar, and legs.  The Digi's are from Digital Delights.  The stitching is done with Sukura Pens and the buttons are Stickles.  On the inside is "Welcome Baby"
