Cuttlebug Challenge #49 Mini Albums

The Birthday Celebration over on Cuttlebug Challenge continues!!! I have had sooooo much fun with this! What a great idea to challenge us to put together an entire birthday party!!! I had an incredibly exciting time putting together my Mini Album. It was so fun to use the Dustin Pike images. I colored them with the Bic markers using the Copic blending technique that my wonderful friend show me how to do over the weekend. Lets just say I must go back and redo my invitation. You'll notice I already redid the Birthday Card. Ok now that I've gushed I will tell you what I did. I took a paper grocery sack and cut it a little bigger than the size I wanted and wadded it up and just made a ball out of it. I then ironed it. It still wasn't exactly how I wanted, so I ran it though the Cuttlebug a couple of times with no folder just a piece of foam. I glued the little button on the front and put the elastic between the layers on the back. There is cardboard in the middle of the cover a...

Sticky Stuff Stacker

Hey guys I just finished decorating my sticky stuff stacker. I'm so excited I ordered all 35 of the the stickles colors today so I had to decorate my stacker for them. The stacker holds all types of sticky stuff. I colored the images with my Bic Markers using the Copic blending technique. It holds 36 bottles so I can put all my favorites in it. I love the holder because the bottles are upside down so the nozzles don't get plugged anymore. I know you're going to want them so I'll let you into my secret of where I found them. Here's the website http://bettybrett.blogspot.com/ The picture below shows how it comes, you just have fun decorating it like I did mine. The images are out of a tole painting book I have from Annie Lang. The paper is from DCWV Nana's Kids. I mod podged over the top so the paper won't get worn off.

Cuttlebug Challenge #48

Cuttlebug Challenge is having a month long celebration for their 1 year anniversay. This weeks challenge was a gift bag and card. For my gift bag I used a clipart from Daisie Company. I burnt around the edges to make it look old. (Little hint here. Don't do it in your kitchen even though there is water so if it get out of hand. It does set off the fire alarm. OOPS LOL ) Then I made the tag with my favorite folder for this project the Houndstooth. Tied it on with my twine to keep it in the same theme. My card I used Dustin Pike Digi-art Colored it with Bic pens and Gel pens. The inside of the card I used Clip art from Daisie Company and used the houndstooth folder again to distress the scroll.

A card for Kobe

This card is made for Kobe. He is having a bone marrow transplant. I used Dustin Pike's Digi . Colored the image with Bic pens and Gel pens. I used DCVW paper and 2 colored brads. The stitching I did with a pen.. The words I used my Dymo tag maker.

A card for Paige

I made this card for a very special gal. She was injured in a serve kayak accident along with her mom and uncle. She has lost her left hand and part of her arm. They are trying to save the rest of the arm now. If you would like to read about it here is the link: Http://www.eagletribune.com/punewsnh/local_story_244035507.html I made the card from a digi of Dustin Pikes. I used Bic pens and gel pens to color the image and then added flower embellishments . I also for the first time used my X yron to make the image into a sticker. Man was that easier than trying to glue.....

Pergamano Parchment Craft

I came across the most beautiful cards. I had to know how they were made. After investigation I found out the technique is called Pergamano. It is a parchment craft. The parchment used is a special kind that is made especially for Pergamano. I found a couple of web sites that sold it. But the cheapest I found was on ebay. Here is the ebay store I bought from: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/NEEDLEWORK-MART__W0QQ_armrsZ1 . They are incredible nice and very quick on sending the item. I contacted them and they combined the shipping which was incredibly reasonable. Here are my first two try's.. It is easier than it looks. The patterns came from the starter kit I bought which included the white pen, A5 papers, the two prong pin, purple coloring stick, embossing tool, and mat.

Be Inspired #47 Invitation

My theme for the party is Pirates. I used Dustin Pikes digi art. I colored the dragon, barrel and background with Bic markers and gel pens. I used twine to make the ropes and the houndstooth embossing folder to make the parchment scroll look real.
